Ashi Wash was a weird, yet fun game! I really enjoyed it! It doesn't have much to it but that's okay. It is weird on it's own!
I really wish the game was longer, just like what the guy said below. Maybe including the other foot, or two feet at once. Increasing the difficulty as you progress into the game. All in all, it's good!

Ashi Wash has got to be one of the grossest games that I ever played and I mean that in a good way!
The premise of the game is that you have to clean a disgusting foot that somehow appears in your house before the time runs out.
The environment and graphics look surprisingly nice for an indie game, and the controls all function pretty well. All the mechanics work as they should and even the music is spot-on for a ridiculous game like this. The foot's voice acting made me crack up a few times and it genuinely grossed me out to the point where I thought I would be sick!
I do wish the game was longer or that there were more levels to complete so it would add some replayability. And for some reason killing the flies with the fly swatter feels hit or miss as it's pretty difficult to kill them in one swing.
All in all though, Ashi Wash is a ridiculously fun and weird game that everyone should play and I hope the developer is continuing to add more to the game.
I made a Let's Play of Ashi Wash so I hope you check it out and let me know what you think!
The game really improved since the prototype, and I really had fun with it. If you ever decide to expand it, might I suggest randomly generated rooms and different times for difficulty levels? It may give it some more replay value (:
Thanks for the feedback! Without saying too much we've actually discussed some sort of randomness in the gameplay, and we're currently working on a build for an event in which we'd like to at least have random tool placements, but we've got limited time to work on the new build and we'd have to completely redesign some stuff around that.
That said, we are absolutely planning on expanding it more in the future, with replay value in mind! ~Matt
Sorry for the seriously late response, I sent the music guy a message about putting 'em it up for download somewhere. I'll post a link in the game's description to both the download and his soundcloud when he gets back to me. :) ~Matt
When you click the "Download Now" button, it will give you the option to either just download the game for free by clicking "No thanks, just take me to the downloads" OR pay us however much you feel like paying us for the game, if you feel like giving us money.
This game is 100% free, but there is an option to pay us if you feel like giving us money. To download the game for free click "Download Now" and then "No thanks, just take me to the downloads".
This game is only for Windows-based PCs, and even then we can only confirm that it works on Windows 7, 8/8.1, and 10.
To download the game for free, click "Download Now" and then the page will ask if you would like to pay for the game - simply click "No thanks, just take me to the downloads" and you can download it from there.
I just did a Lumps Play :D I guess I was living under a rock! Really glad I found it. I'm sure you've already heard all the praise I have to say, so just thanks for making an awesome little game!
Check out my Lumps Play, I use pop-up commentary, not your typical gaming channel here.
Oh the joys of cleaning a giant's foot. Doing massive pedicures is not my usual past-time but I did end up spending like 30 minutes trying to appease the talking foot. Oh my life... But thanks to the developers though! I had a blast!
Hey check it out, RockLeeSmile did an Indie Impressions video on Ashi Wash and seemed to really enjoy it (at least he enjoyed it enough to being the Indie Impressions series out of retirement anyways). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=58bADgDbWXc
I honestly have no idea what compelled me to play this.. But i tried to have a great laugh non-the-less :D Come and enjoy this game with me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GcFna7RKbs
Never did I think I would say this but *clears throat* I enjoyed cleaning the large spirit foot which came into my house and threatened my belongings. His constant jibes brought a smile to my face, and the clean foot at the end was so beautiful it brought a tear to my eye.
Thanks for the game guys, good job! (apologies for playing the older version of the game)

Gonna be honest. Attach the foot to a cute animu girl, come up with less gross dirt and stuff, get a girl to voice over, and I'd probably outright buy this game.
I love me some games based off mythology, even the nastiest damn games on the planet. Not going to lie, I hate feet. With the fury of a thousand supernovas.
Personal anti-fetishes aside, this is a short, fun game. Graphics are decent, sound's good for what there is. The controls are simple, but the hit detection can be a bit frustrating at times. Also, I couldn't get any of the nastiness on top of the foot.
A 7z extension is basically a zip file, if u have winzip or winrar, you should be able to unpack it, playstation emulator games are packed using this alot, in fact heres a link to the unpacker i use for my psx 7z roms, dont worry its free http://www.7-zip.org/ once you download it, you canm unpack or look in the 7z file just like a zip file. theres also a thing called 'unecm' u can get, where you just drag n drop the file over the app in the folder the app is in, and it automatically unpacks it...but icant remember if it does 7z files, worth checking just in case. hope this helps as not alot of people know what a 7z is.
Sorry about that, I forgot that 7zip isn't the standard! I've updated the download instructions with a link to download 7zip so hopefully nobody else has the same problem in the future :)
I've tried all of them, 32-bit and 64-bit. Running Windows 10 and I use unreal all the time. I tried running it as an administrator and that didn't make a difference either. I'm guessing the moment the game starts the foot starts to talk? and then the timer appears when he's finished? It's just silence for me. I saw about your game jam game on killscreen and wanted to give it a go :)
That's strange... I know this is a silly question, but is the game possibly muted in Windows? If not that (and this probably isn't it either if you can play other Unreal engine games with sound), are your audio drivers up to date?
Unfortunately I don't think there's a whole lot I can do on the development end, because this is the first time I've worked with Unreal so I'm not exactly sure where to start looking, but I'll see if I can figure out a solution just in case other people are having the same issue.
I figured it out! My Oculus Rift was stopping the audio from coming through! Not sure why but if anyone has my issue make sure they don't have one plugged in :)

This was possibly the weirdest game I have ever played and I sort of love it!
This music is stuck in my head too and I bet it'll be stuck in yours!

Can we get the soundtrack, please? If music could be food this game's main theme and little jingles would be parmesan cheese.

Made a video of the game, really fun recording and playing this if you want to check it out :)
is this game free
Yep, just click "Download Now" and then "No thanks, just take me to the downloads"
thank you so much
yes
this game is soo dirty
how do i download
When you click the "Download Now" button, it will give you the option to either just download the game for free by clicking "No thanks, just take me to the downloads" OR pay us however much you feel like paying us for the game, if you feel like giving us money.
The "free" option isn't immediately noticeable (I've circled it here to make it a bit easier to see), but I'm not sure if we can change that.
It's game $1.00!!!
This game is 100% free, but there is an option to pay us if you feel like giving us money. To download the game for free click "Download Now" and then "No thanks, just take me to the downloads".
How do I play any games on this?!
This game is only for Windows-based PCs, and even then we can only confirm that it works on Windows 7, 8/8.1, and 10.

Hilarious game! Super tense but a ton of fun :D Check out my video on Ashi Wash below!
Will this come to Mac anytime soon?
We're gonna try to have that soonishly.
Thanks. Cause I'd love to give this a try.

Wow, just wow! Hard game! You need more than 3 minutes! Good god.
Gonna be honest. Attach the foot to a cute animu girl, come up with less gross dirt and stuff, get a girl to voice over, and I'd probably outright buy this game.
So pretty much, "If this were a foot fetish game, I'd buy it."?
Lol.
Well... What a game.
Note: Played the prototype version.
I love me some games based off mythology, even the nastiest damn games on the planet. Not going to lie, I hate feet. With the fury of a thousand supernovas.

It's a quirky, fun short game. Very nice!
I can't download the game for some reason. When I try, I end up getting this useless Windows 32-bit.7z file.
Me too, I can't do anything with that.

Awesome, glad you were able to work it out!
Great voice acting and humor!
